Security services in today’s world is no longer a luxury. In fact, those organizations that practice complacency tragically learn that complacency kills.  Some people and organizations foolishly function on the idea “What are the odds that it would happen here?” and because of that faulty way of thinking, they are never ready.

We live in a violent world and to make things worse, the avoidance of accountability is not only prevalent in operational planning but liberals in our society cover up and defend criminality.  It’s fair to state that our moral compass is, to say the least, weak and broken. We have politician actually championing for deported illegal criminal aliens over the needs of the American citizen. So, more and more, security is a necessity.

The need for security, which we refer to as the fifth profession, is now an enormous and integral part of any operation. Be it a school campus, an office building, an open venue or a private community, real and competent security is crucial to ensure safety and quality of life. But the importance of professionalism in security cannot be overstated.

Professionalism instills trust and credibility, confidence and assurance. This enables effective communication and fosters relationships between the private security firm and the client based on trust.

Effective risk management is what a good private security firm should deliver not “window dressing”. Our LGLS professional security staff are better at identifying, assessing & mitigating risks, reducing the likelihood of incidents.

Crisis Management is much more than “observe and report”. The average person could do that, although if you ask police officers taking statements, they will often struggle with getting a fair description of accounts because the average person isn’t a trained observer. The problem is that most companies don’t invest in their security staff.  At Lion’s Gate LS, we invest heavily in our employees and thus the deliveries are remarkably better than most private security companies. Training enables our staff to handle emergencies calmly and effectively. “One plays like one practices.”

Customer service is encompassed by professionalism.  The professionalism of a private security firm hold its personnel accountable, improving overall performance if it holds as part of its company culture a customer service attitude.

And finally, Accountability. LGLS holds our personnel accountable to high standards and performance because we invest in them. In summary, professionalism in security services enhances effectiveness, builds trust, mitigates risks, and ensures high-quality service deliverables.  Professionalism and its Deliverables that garner referrals, always, not the under bidding and lack of deliverables that most companies unfortunately practice.

God bless and hope to be of service,

Leonel D. Sanhueza, PPO, CEO
