OUR STORY

We started as a small group of US Special Operations Forces and Law Enforcement veterans. Some of us had served together, and finding ourselves now working separately in security, we unified in 2010 and founded Lions Gate LS, Inc.

From the Field to Founding: The Story of Lions Gate LS

Sharing our experiences in operations and service deliverables as we’d witnessed them in the field, we started Lions Gate LS, Inc, (LGLS) as a security consulting service.

The idea began from observing how to better apply aspects of security services and make good on these “deliverables” to the client. In the beginning we had no seed money or any business background. What we did have was a tremendous heart for service and innate problem-solving skills coupled with a ton of real-world experience and training.

From Consulting to Comprehensive Security Solutions

Initially focusing on Consulting and Risk Management, we grew into the development of Armed Uniformed Security Services for Private Schools and Churches, Professional Training for Civilians, Security Professionals and Law Enforcement, Maritime Security and Counter Piracy Security Services for Merchant Vessels. The launch of the company came from one client who had some threats and security concerns. Exceeding service expectations with our first client, we grew one client at a time through referral. LGLS has now served many clients, all with unique service needs; has done so with excellence and always exceeding expectations.

Security Without Compromise

We don’t just offer security—we deliver proven, sustainable solutions that exceed expectations. Whether it’s a campus, church, hotel, or hospital, our approach focuses on prevention, detection, and deterrence—not just response.

Law enforcement is not designed to prevent attacks. Their role is to respond, investigate, and make arrests—but prevention requires a different mindset, training, and operational focus. With a 15-18% hit ratio in officer-involved shootings, relying on reactive measures is not an option.

There can be no ego in addressing the problem.

Grounded Awareness, Preparedness, and Actual Capability is the best recipe for success.

If you don’t train for it, you won’t perform well. That is exactly what we do at LGLS. Intentions don’t matter. Awareness, preparedness, and actual capability—not complacency—saves lives Leonel D. Sanhueza, CEO
